Nose

The nose opens with a riveting blend of scorched earth, straw, dried thyme and green olive with smoky clove notes and shy scarlet fruit.

Palate

In the palate it is ferrous to the point of bloodiness. The relative fluidity on the entry is quickly compressed into a taut spear of acidity and tannin, which finishes extremely narrow and austere too. However, the tannin loosens on the finish to a remarkable, fine-napped suede texture, adding precision and finesse to the overall impression and presaging long age-ability.
