Nose
It has a well-balanced bouquet of ripe red fruits, such as plum and maraschino cherry, spicy notes of sweet tobacco, liquorice and a balsamic finish.
Palate
Elegant, velvety taste, supported by low acidity. It has still young tannins which denote the possibility of long aging. Wine with a persistent and enveloping finish that tends towards very characteristic bitter chocolate.
Winemaking
It is obtained by combining the balance of grapes coming from the best selections on the eastern and western sides of the company. The morning light, in fact, allows the grapes to express the highest alcohol content while the afternoon light intensifies the aromatic sphere of the Sangiovese itself.
The first year of production of this label is the 2011 vintage.
50 HL stainless steel tanks, selected dry yeasts for long-aging red wines capable of releasing large quantities of polysaccharides into the wine, soft extraction of polyphenols from the skins with the use of delestage.
Aging
For 18 months in French oak barriques (Allier) 30% new 70% one year old with micro-oxygenation.
