A brief history
Ama is a small eighteen-century village in the Gaiole municipality, in the historic heart of Chianti Classico. The setting is picturesque, here wine tradition has a long and glorious history. The Grand Duke Lepold II praised the excellence of this hilly terrain Ama comprises 230 hectares, 70 of which are dedicated to vineyards and 40 to olive trees at an average altitude of 480 meters.Castello di Ama wines are made from exclusively estate-grown grapes. 300.000 bottles are produced on average every year.The site of one of the most important contemporary collections of site-specific works of art
