Growing Conditions
The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione was born in the vineyards in Vinci which develop from 310 to 410 meters above sea level.
SOIL: Typical Chianti soil with a high skeleton of calcareous origin that allows it to control the vigor of Sangiovese. The soil that distinguishes this wine is characterized since its formation originating from the Chianti massif by a high compact limestone stoniness that rests on a sandstone base. This type of soil
slows down the vigor of the plant and lengthens the vegetative cycle and enhances the structure of the Chianti.
