Nose
A bouquet of almond flowers, hazelnut, elderflower, vanilla butter and honey; a palate of peach, pineapple, banana and lime, with a clean and fresh taste.
Palate
Perfectly balanced citrus fruit, minerals and toasty notes calibrated by the terroir of Brolio and the wood chosen for the fermentation and the ageing.

Torricella, white wine rich in structure and complexity, enhances its personality with a Chardonnay and a Sauvignon blanc of Tuscan character. Fruit of a careful quality development both in the vineyard and in the cellars, this white wine is able to express the characteristics of a terroir often reputed for its famous “reds” only.
The Sauvignon blanc comes from a vineyard situated at 230 m a.s.l. on alluvial soil and the Chardonnay comes from different plots of which two estate vineyards; one located at 350 m a.s.l. on limestone-rich soil, the other at 460 m a.s.l. on sandy and pebbly soil.
Mild winter with an average temperature always above zero. Rainfall: 200 mm.
Initially a cold spring with temperatures slowly on the rise at the end of May. Rainfall: 200 mm. Hot summer especially in July and the first half of August. Rainfall: 100 mm.
Harvest
The grape harvest started on 24th August for the Chardonnay and 7th September for the Sauvignon Blanc, with perfectly healthy and sugary grapes, with a balanced acidity.
Winemaking
Cold maceration at 4°C for 6 hours without oxygen.
Fermentation at very low temperatures (14°C-20°C/57.2°F-68°F).
Aging
Two-thirds age in new 500lt. tonneaux, the rest in stainless steel for 6 months. Lees stirring is carried out for the two-thirds aged in barriques, initially every day, then less frequently.
A further ageing for 3 months in bottle follows.
Appearance
Brilliant straw-yellow.
