Growing Conditions

Production Area: Chianti Classico


A rather unusual year with mild temperatures in July and early August. By mid August the temperature suddenly and unexpectedly raised up and stayed very high even during the night. These conditions have caused some dehydration on the grapes. Thanks to the late ripening of the sangiovese grapes, this situation has not caused any problems to our grapes.

Harvest

The harvest begun on September 25th and was ended on October 9th.

20 months, part in barriques and part in tonneaux Bottle ageing: 3 months
